On September 1st, the 3rd floor of Tianjin Art Museum ushered in a vivid cultural education practice class, where students from Xiangjiangdao Primary School and Fuxing Primary School in Hexi District of Tianjin City felt the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage at close range.

From the GUI Faxiang 18th Street mahua, which is about 1.8 meters long and weighs about 50 kilograms, to the elegant and flexible Tianjin dough sculptures, to the lifelike clay figure Zhang sculpture, a variety of intangible cultural heritage works attracted the attention of students. As an important part of the "first class" of the new semester, the inheritors of Tianjin flour sculpture, Yangliuqing wood-block New Year Pictures, clay sculpture (Tianjin Clay Figure Zhang), and floral silk inlay production skills came to the scene to teach, providing students with the opportunity to make intangible cultural heritage works by hand.

Break regional boundaries to show the charm of intangible cultural heritage

From August 10 to September 8, the 5th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Gansu, Guizhou and Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Innovation and Creativity Exhibition was held at Tianjin Art Museum. With the theme of "Encounter vitality intangible heritage, Create a city of Quality", the exhibition collected 63 national intangible heritage projects and 73 provincial and municipal intangible heritage projects from all over the country, and exhibited a total of 399 pieces of intangible heritage products.

The exhibition breaks regional boundaries and is divided into four exhibition areas, "Meet · Treasure of the country", "Homogony · Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei", "Colorful · Gansu, Guizhou" and "Rising · New Hope", displaying fine projects and craftsmanship from the six intangible cultural heritage areas of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Gansu, Guizhou and Hunan, and exploring new ideas and new paths for the development of intangible cultural heritage through exchanges and mutual learning.

In the "Meet the Treasure of the Country" exhibition area, cloisonne, carved lacquer skills, clay figure Zhang color sculpture and other projects show the national intangible cultural heritage projects from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Guizhou and Hunan; In the "Homology · Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" and "Colorful · Gansu, Guizhou" exhibition areas, such as Yang Liuqing paper-cut, Beijing hairy monkey, Gu 'an willow weaving, Hunan embroidery, Miao embroidery and Gansu lacquer skills vividly present the distinct cultural characteristics of different regions.

The event was jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of Tianjin Municipal Committee, the United Front Work Department of Tianjin Municipal Committee of Culture and Tourism, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Tianjin Hexi District Committee and the Hexi District People's Government, covering a number of sectors such as intangible cultural relics exhibition, intangible cultural heritage market, intangible cultural Carnival theme performance, and bringing an intangible cultural heritage feast to the public tourists in early autumn.

Li Hongxi, director of the Publicity Department of Hexi District Party Committee of Tianjin, said that on the basis of summarizing the successful experience of the previous four sessions, this event further expanded the scope of invitation, extended the content of activities, and enriched the content of exhibits, so that intangible cultural heritage could better enter and integrate into modern life with immersive exhibitions, artistic performances and interactive experiences. During the event, non-genetic inheritors and industry experts conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions around the theme of "Strengthening the systematic protection of intangible heritage and promoting sustainable development". "Through expert dialogue, we will promote exchanges between different parts of the world, bring the intangible cultural heritage closer to the people and into life, promote the activated utilization of intangible cultural heritage, and enhance cultural self-confidence and self-improvement." Li Hongxi said.

Bring new hope for non-genetic inheritance

At the site of the joint exhibition, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of Tianjin dough sculpture production skills, Wang Shu, brought the works such as "Noisy Heaven", "So green", "Past events like smoke" and "Zhu Shou", and other works are vivid, fully demonstrating the artistic characteristics of "thin clothes like yarn, thin hair like silk, flowing sleeves and beautiful characters like life".

"In the non-genetic process, we found that each generation likes different themes. Therefore, we deeply understand the preferences of people in different generations, and design products according to different needs, and gradually form a variety of products such as traditional crafts, pendant accessories, cartoon ornaments, and Hanfu dolls." Wang said.
It is worth noting that the exhibition area of "Rising · New Hope" is the first time that the exhibition has set up a special area for college students' literary and creative works. With Yunnan wooden drum culture, cliff painting image, Weng Ding residence silhouette as creative elements, fir wood as raw materials, to create a rough and elegant home literature; Relying on ethnic minority wedding culture, with traditional Chinese crafts, combining simplicity and fashion, to create a unique style of wedding jewelry... The college students have combined traditional national culture with the "trendy" elements of young people to design a series of refreshing works.
Ma Zhiyao, vice president of Tianjin Intangible cultural Heritage Protection Association, said that the development of intangible cultural heritage needs more young people to join the team of inheriting and carrying forward, to maintain innovation on the basis of inheritance, and to carry out some bold exploration, so as to inject vitality and fresh blood into the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
In Ma Zhiyao's view, intangible cultural heritage works need to rely on more modern display methods and ways that are more in line with contemporary consumer tastes. "There may be more immersive and interactive designs in the theme exhibition of intangible cultural heritage, so that the audience can closely observe and feel the exquisite works devoted to the wisdom and skills of the inheritors, which is crucial to the transmission and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage." 'he said.

The intangible Heritage market showcases its unique skills

The event also launched a 10-day intangible cultural heritage theme exhibition and intangible cultural heritage market in Tianjin Cultural Center. The market gathers many vendors with cultural characteristics, such as artisans, original designers, and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage technologies, covering the consumption scenes of ancient books and paintings, living porcelain, fabrics and clothes, and handicrafts.

The heads of cultural and tourism departments of the five provinces and cities and non-genetic inheritors came to the scene and jointly signed a strategic agreement on intangible cultural exchange with Tianjin, creating a demonstration effect for cross-provincial intangible cultural exchange. "This combination of exhibition display, interactive experience and theme performance presents the results of intangible cultural heritage protection in all aspects, which has been unanimously recognized by the majority of public tourists." A series of activities allow intangible cultural heritage to move towards a steaming street life, and let the heavy traditional culture nourish the spiritual and cultural life of more people." Guo Jinqi said.
